Background/Summary: 
Mathias Bellout received his MS in Applied Physics and MS in Petroleum Engineering in 2005 and 2008, respectively, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He is currently pursuing his PhD in Petroleum Engineering and Applied Geophysics from the same institution. Since 2009 he has been affiliated with the Center for Integrated Operations in the Petroleum Industry (IO-Center) at NTNU. In 2010-2011 he was visiting researcher at the Smart Fields Consortium in the Department of Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University. His research interests include reservoir modeling and simulation, derivative-free and bi-level optimization.
