Lars Bodsberg (Ph.D) SINTEF: Senior Research Scientist, Technology and Society, Safety Research. Lars Bodsberg, born 1954, has a M.Sc. Eng. in Applied Physics at The Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in 1979. He holds a Ph.D. in Reliability Engineering at Department of Mathematical Sciences at NTH in 1993. Bodsberg joined SINTEF in 1985 and has been Research Director at Safety Research 1996-2013. His main areas of competence and interests are Process safety; Reliability, availability and maintainability analysis with special emphasis on control and safety systems; Risk, safety and vulnerability analysis; and Accident investigation. He has been manager of the Gemini Centre on Reliability and Safety Studies at NTNU/SINTEF 2008 - 2012. Bodsberg is president of Society for Risk Analysis Europe since 2013.
