The IPL Lab is part of the IPL framework and is a client focused and module-based tool for development and implementation of Integrated Planning and Logistics (IPL) within and/or across organizations. The IPL Lab is under development within the IO Center project and is based on tailoring of learning modules to specific needs of groups and roles within organisations. It is well suited as a starting point for IPL implementation.
Content

Based on IPL knowledge and related methods developed throughout the IO projects (phase I and phase II), the IPL Lab is a tool aimed for supporting the transfer of knowledge from the R&D sector to the industry in a more user friendly manner. As an In example, the IPL Lab can be utilized for the following: 
• Identification of main challenges related to IPL and support establishment of As-Is situation 
• Support internal TO-BE processes with recommendations according to the IPL model
• Facilitate identification of key learning points and success-factors relevant for cross-discipline dissemination
• Support commitment to plans, activities and trust between disciplines and units within and across organizations.
The specific content of the IPL Laboratory and how it will be organized depends on the level of IPL maturity for the company in question. A main idea is to share and create knowledge between IO researchers and professionals in the participating companies and to convey key results and experiences from the IO Center to the industry. The IPL Lab contains five modules which all need
to be tailored to the actual organization based on mapping of IPL maturity (i.e. IPL-challenges and management prioritizations). The IPL-Laboratory is based on a holistic perspective on IPL including focus on the key IPL capabilities defined in the IPL-Model.  We would recommend using the IPL laboratory within companies on specific topics related to identified "IPL challenges", particularly focusing on human and cultural capabilities
