The present report summarizes the findings in the Project “Future of Telemedicine in O&G” regarding the capabilities and resilience work. In this report we will briefly describe these two complementary approaches and how they were applied in the analysis of the cases. The offshore healthcare services in the O&G industry rely on telemedicine facilitators to assure the quality and efficacy of their services. Nowadays, the variety of technological solutions for telemedicine, as well as the fact that hospitals are starting to invest on telemedicine services, seems to provide a positive context for the development of the existing set-ups offshore. The data presented here is a result of all the observations, meetings, and workshops promoted throughout the project and presents an attempt to generalize good practices and identify central challenges for the O&G companies who are planning to modify/improve their current telemedicine set-up. The data collection was performed both in Norway and in Brazil, and four different companies were contacted and interviewed for the project – two of them had internal telemedicine projects ongoing and as such provided a more detailed setting for analysis.
