Abstract

This paper presents an approach to analyze logistical planning based on situation; stable and unstable conditions. The theoretical frame is the Integrated Planning (IPL) Model that has been developed in earlier MARINTE research on IPL. This paper concentrates on the logistical planning and the concepts lean and agile are used to give directions as to what aspects are important during logistical planning and event handling. The findings are systemized according to the Enabling and Core Capabilities defined by the IPL Model. Having an agile approach to event handling emphasizes building relations and network of actors that can contribute on short notice before the events occur. It is also identified a need for more research in this area in terms of defining events and gathering more experience in the field.
