The aim of this work is to compare different average methods (with two and three terms) used to build a velocity model from sonic logs and verify which method is more accurate with respect to the phase factor of overall propagator. The traveltime parameters are computed and analyzed for each averaging model. The analysis is illustrated on a well log data from the North Sea.
