Eni Norge was established in 1965 and has been part of the Norwegian petroleum industry since the very beginning. Safe operations with minimum impact on the environment, creating value for society and our owners, are our goals. The dedicated and highly skilled people in our organisation are the most important tool in achieving it. An active policy of searching for new resources while ensuring optimum production from existing fields creates a firm basis for a continued positive development of our Company. The Company participates in among others Ekofisk, Norne, Urd, Åsgard, Mikkel, Heidrun, Kristin, Yttergryta and Tyrihans fields and is operator in several licences in the exploration phase, divided between the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and the Barents Sea. There is an on-going project within Eni E&P to develop an Integrated Operations application (Eni E&P IO). Eni Norge has been chosen to become one of the early adopters of this, and the company anticipates making it become the main interfacing system to be used while operating the Goliat field. As Goliat will become the first oil-field in which Eni Norge act as the operator, it has been stated that Integrated Operations will be the preferred operational model. Eni foresees that Integrated Operations will become an even more integral part of the business in the future. The operation of the Goliat field will mainly be conducted offshore, on the FPSO, with an onshore supporting staff organisation. The onshore staff will be located in offices in Hammerfest and Forus. It is also anticipated occasional real-time participation in on-going operations from people on travel, license-partners, external contractors and suppliers.
